Leading site machinery and manufacturer, Morris Site Machinery, has expanded its UK footprint by opening its new Parts and Servicing Depot at Old Mill Lane, Pratling in Aylesford and announced Jamie Whyatt as its dedicated Service Engineer.
The new depot is to serve its customer base in the South East as well as provide an ideal base from which to support the company’s burgeoning European and overseas ambitions.
The 4,147 sqft mezzanine warehouse and office provides an ideal space for servicing and repairs, and offers visitors the opportunity to see products from the core brands of SMC, ArcGen, Hilta and Denyo.
The new premises is located just one mile from Junction 6 of the M20 motorway so is highly accessible to the national motorway network. It also benefits from being 35 miles south east of London and 40 miles west of the Channel Ports.
Jamie Whyatt, who will manage the site and be the dedicated service engineer for the region, joins the company with nearly 20 years’ experience under his belt, having worked for Balfour Beatty previously.
He brings with him wealth of engineering and technical onsite expertise after starting as a plant fitter and becoming the sole plant technician for the South East. Further experience in the agricultural and rail sector saw Jamie honing his skills before joining the Morris Site Machinery team at Aylesford and becoming the face of the South East service depot.
A self-motivated and positive character, Jamie was excited to take up the new position. “I was already familiar with many of the company’s big brands like ArcGen and SMC TL-90 Lighting Towers as they are Network Rail approved machines which I have worked on. I have very much enjoyed my in-house training on all the products and the company values. Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful, I am keen now to get on and make my mark” Jamie said.
The depot in Aylesford is open daily and customers will be able to collect repaired machines daily and get them back out onsite quickly.
